Mounjaro
Yes. Jan Medical Group offers Mounjaro KwikPen, and it is currently in stock. Mounjaro is prescribed and monitored by a licensed Jan Medical Group physician after a consultation, available online from anywhere in the Philippines or in clinic at our BGC (Park Triangle Mall, Taguig) and Quezon City (Bengar Building, Del Monte Avenue) branches.
Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medication made by Eli Lilly. It works on two appetite and blood sugar hormone pathways, GIP and GLP-1, which helps reduce hunger, increase fullness and improve blood sugar control. It comes as a pre-filled KwikPen, with each pen holding four weekly doses. At Jan Medical Group, Mounjaro is prescribed for weight management only after a physician consultation confirms it is appropriate for you.
Both are once-weekly injections that reduce appetite and support weight loss, but they work slightly differently. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) acts on both the GIP and GLP-1 pathways, while Wegovy (semaglutide) acts on the GLP-1 pathway. Neither is automatically better for everyone: the right choice depends on your medical history, weight goals, how you tolerate side effects and your budget. Your Jan Medical Group physician will explain which one suits you and why.
Mounjaro is prescription-only, so you start with a physician consultation. You can book an online consultation for ₱1,500 from anywhere in the Philippines, or an in-clinic consultation for ₱1,600 at our Quezon City branch or ₱1,800 at our BGC branch. If Mounjaro is appropriate for you, your physician issues your prescription and sets your starting dose. If you already have a valid Mounjaro prescription from another doctor, our team can verify it so you can order without repeating the process.
Mounjaro KwikPen is priced per pen, and the price depends on your prescribed dose, from the 2.5 mg starting dose up to 15 mg. Each KwikPen holds four weekly doses, so one pen covers about one month of treatment. Starting doses cost less, and the price increases as your physician steps up your dose. Current prices for every dose are listed in the Jan Medical Group Cura Shop, and your physician will walk you through the expected cost of your plan during your consultation.
Yes. Once your prescription is confirmed, Mounjaro can be delivered nationwide anywhere in the Philippines, or you can pick up your pens at either Jan Medical Group branch: BGC (Park Triangle Mall, Taguig) or Quezon City (Bengar Building, Del Monte Avenue, Brgy. Manresa). We do not ship medication outside the Philippines.
Mounjaro is injected once a week, on the same day each week, under the skin of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm. Treatment usually starts at 2.5 mg, and the dose is increased step by step, typically every four weeks, to help your body adjust and reduce side effects. Your physician decides when and whether to increase your dose based on your progress and tolerance. Our team will show you how to use your KwikPen at your first visit or during your online consultation.
The most common side effects of Mounjaro are digestive: nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea and occasional vomiting. They are usually mild to moderate and most noticeable in the first weeks or after a dose increase. Eating smaller meals, slowing down and staying hydrated can help. Contact your physician promptly if you have severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, signs of dehydration or an allergic reaction.
Mounjaro is generally not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy, if you or a family member have had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome, or if you have a history of pancreatitis or a known allergy to tirzepatide. People with certain digestive, kidney or gallbladder conditions, or who take insulin or other diabetes medicines, need careful review. Mounjaro can also reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives for a period after starting or increasing the dose. Your physician screens for all of this during your consultation.
Keep your Mounjaro KwikPen in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C, in its original packaging and away from light. Never freeze it, and do not use a pen that has been frozen, even after it thaws. The pen can be kept at room temperature for a limited time, so follow the patient leaflet that comes with it. For delivered orders, refrigerate your pens as soon as they arrive.
Part of the weight lost on Mounjaro can come from muscle, which can affect strength and metabolism. You can reduce this by eating enough protein, doing regular strength training and tracking your body composition rather than just your weight. At Jan Medical Group, InBody scans measure muscle and fat separately so your physician can adjust your plan, and Tone Ultra powered by Emsculpt NEO is available if you want in-clinic support for muscle preservation.
Yes, switching to Mounjaro is possible, but it should only be done under a physician's guidance. Your Jan Medical Group physician will review your current medication, dose, results and side effects, then decide whether switching makes sense and what Mounjaro starting dose is safe for you. Please do not switch or combine medications on your own.
